Awesome (but not as awesome as an iPhone) Graduation Cupcake Decorating Ideas
Ah, it’s that time of year again. You can almost smell it in the air: the excitement, the expectation, the wide-and-sparkling future stretching out in front of million of kids. And the beer bongs, of course.
It’s such a beautiful time.
Chances are you know somebody who’s graduating this year. And chances are they’re hoping you’ll get them an iPhone or an ultra-fancy laptop for graduation. But what better way to teach them about the real world than disappointing your graduate by making them cupcakes, instead?
Just kidding. Give them cupcakes AND an iPhone. After all, you never know when you might be stuck on a toilet after one-too-many beer bongs and need to check your email from the stall. Those suckers come in handy.
Cupcakes with Graduation Caps
These are super cute, totally impressive, and pretty darned easy. Even for lazy bakers. Because while you can go to the trouble of hand-making little edible caps and tassles if you want, it’s way easier to do it with pre-made ingredients. You can make caps and tassles out of:
-
Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups (bottoms - see photo)
Rolos (bottoms)
Chocolate-covered graham crackers (tops)
Square chocolate cookies (tops - see photo)
Thin slices of chocolate (tops)
Bit of licorice string (tassles)
Melted and painted candy (tassles - see photo)
Fruit-roll-ups (tassles)
Melted white chocolate (tassles)

Graduation Cupcakes with Diplomas
This can be really easy, and a lot of fun. You can make graduation cupcake diplomas out of candy, white chocolate curls, or real paper. The most fun is to do this with real paper, as you can write a personal message inside each one, or a fortune, or… whatever. You can even make it into a game by having one win a prize or… I dunno, an extra hit at the beer bong, maybe?

Graduation Cupcakes with School Colors & Symbols
This, obviously, is super easy. Simply make cupcakes (pick any cupcake recipe you like) using your graduate’s school colors. Add mascots, school initials, graduation years… whatever you like.
