Easy Mexican Guacamole Recipe

I’m from Arizona, so I know my guacamole– in fact, it’s one of my favorite things in the entire world. Creamy and flavorful, I could eat it on just about anything. But… not everybody makes a good guacamole. Many guacamole recipes are full of weird ingredients like sour cream or mayonnaise… things which a good guacamole just doesn’t need. After all, avocados are practically perfect just as they are. With high quality, perfectly ripe avocados, and you have almost everything you need.

So here you’ll find a recipe for the kind of authentic guacamole I grew up eating in Arizona. It’s simple, it’s natural, and it’s delicious. I like to leave mine a little chunky– smooth guacamole just doesn’t do it for me. But if you like yours smooth, give your avocados a little extra mashing.

Perfect Easy Guacamole Recipe

Ingredients:
2 largeish avocados
1 tsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/4 of a small white onion, finely minced
1 small ripe tomato, peeled and diced
1/4 tsp. hot sauce
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper

Instructions: 1. Peel and mash your avocados. To make the perfect chunky guacamole, I like to chop my avocados into cubes and mash them very slightly with a fork. You can mash them more if you like.

2. In a serving bowl, combing avocado, lemon, onion, tomato, hot sauce, salt, and pepper. Don’t go overboard on any of the ingredients– if you have good avocados, that’s where most of the flavor should come from.

3. Serve. If you let it sit, it may get a bit brown– but it’ll still taste great.
