Fruit “Punch You in the Face” Smoothie

If you like fruit, you’ll love this smoothie recipe– the one I make when I’m in the mood to pump myself full of vitamins and feel virtuous in the morning. Basically, when I want to really to hit hard with something truly healthy. Hence the name!

Oh, and it tastes good, too. There’s also that.

If you want to cool off in summer, try to use as much frozen fruit as possible to make it ultra icy. Otherwise, it’s wonderful just as is.

Serves 2.

Ingredients:

1 ripe Bartlett pear, peeled, cored, chopped
1/2 to 3/4 C. green seedless grapes
1 ripe banana, frozen, peeled and sliced
2 tsp. honey
1/3. C. cranberry juice
Handful of ice cubes

Instructions: Combine the pear, grapes, honey, and sliced frozen banana in a good-sized blender. Blend until smooth– this will take longer if you’ve used frozen bananas and grapes

To your blended fruit mixture, add the cranberry juice and beginning adding the ice cubes one or two at a time while the blender is running, until your smoothie is thick and smooth.
